Setanta Orienteers invite you to take part in the last event of the Leinster Spring Cup League event at Mullaghmeen Woods this Sunday the 29th of April 2012. The event will be signposted from Castlepollard Co. Westmeath. Please follow the one way traffic system in the village and turn into Water Street, look out for signs for Mullaghmeen Country (grid reference n 481 775). Registration and starts will be in the car park of the forest.  

                Mullaghmeen is situated on the Meath-Westmeath border north of Castlepollard. It is the largest beach plantation in Ireland, covering 1000 acres. It has large areas of runnable forest. There are many small hills and areas of complex contour detail making this an ideal area for orienteering. This large deciduous forest also contains the highest point in county Westmeath.

                The map has been recently updated by Brian Power. The maps will be printed on water proof paper at a scale of 1:10,000.Contour intervals will be 5 metres.

                SportsIdent (SI) timing will be used. SI cards are available for hire at registration for €2. Participants are reminded to download after completing their course regardless if they complete it or not. Start times are between 11am-1pm and all courses will close at 3pm.

The yellow course will be buggy friendly.

Entry fees are as follows, IOA members, Adults €8, Juniors/students €5 and families €20.

Non-IOA members, Adults €10, Juniors/students€6 and families €22.
