2010 AS: Newcastle Demesne

Setanta will hold a Leinster Autumn Series League event in Newcastle Demesne, Ballymahon on 10th October 2010.

Courses:    There will be the usual colour coded courses: yellow, orange, light green, green, blue and brown.

Start Times:          11:00 - 13:00
Course closure:   15:00

Terrain description:   mixture of mature deciduous forest and mixed conifer plantation with extensive path and drainage ditch networks. Generally good underfoot conditions with a good mix of very open, slow run and walk forest. Very little climb (less than 100 m) involved on any course.

This area was last surveyed in 1983 by A. O'Clerigh, D. Murphy and P. Farrelly (Custume Orienteers) and has recently been resurveyed for Setanta Orienteers by Pat Healy. Map scale 1:10000 for all courses; printed on Pretex waterproof paper. SportIdent timing system will be used.
