Rathfarnham Pub O

 Tuesday evening saw a hardy bunch of Orienteers brave the wild environs of the Buglers Pub in Rathfarnham for a spot of Street/park/night O. The event was organised by Tony Doolin who with some creativity with coloured street maps and Purple Pen produced a clever event with many route choices and enough distance to get a nice work out. Much discussion was had after the event in the Buglers, discussing route choices and how good a persons eyesight was to read lamp post numbers in the dark. The bunch who turned up agreed that the event was good training and hones peoples map reading skills as well as route choices. Most people stayed on for a drink or two and had good craic. Points to note for the next event, the events are free,  wrap up well, bring a head torch and a pen. Next event will be on Tuesday the 4th of December at 7pm, in the "Martello"  on the seafront in Bray. Parking is on the seafront or the Dart station is a 5 min walk.
